Privacy Policy

Account: your phone number (used to verify your identity via SMS) and, if you sign in with Google or Facebook, the basic profile information those services share with your consent.

Profile: your name, date of birth (we store and show your age, never your birthday), gender, who you want to meet, relationship goal, bio, interests, and the photos you upload.

Selfie verification: when you verify your account you take a real-time selfie. This is biometric data used ONLY to confirm you match your profile photos, and it is deleted immediately after the check — we do not keep or reuse it.

Imported social content: if you choose to share Instagram/Facebook screenshots to improve your matches, our AI reads them privately to understand your interests, and they are deleted after analysis.

Messages & activity: the messages you send, connection requests, who you block, and reports you file.

Location: with your permission, your approximate location (stored as a coarse geohash) so we can introduce people near you. Your precise location is never shown to other users.

Device & usage: basic device and app-interaction data needed to operate the service, keep it secure, and prevent fraud and abuse.

To run Beboos: create your profile, verify your identity, find and introduce compatible people, and enable chat.

AI matching: we analyze your bio, photos, interests, and any social content you share to build an interest profile and generate compatibility introductions.

Safety: to verify accounts, detect and act on objectionable content and abusive behavior, and enforce our Terms.

We do NOT sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Beboos uses Google’s Gemini AI to analyze the content you choose to share (bio, photos, imported social screenshots) and to write match introductions. This processing happens with your consent as part of using the matching features. Content sent for analysis is subject to Google’s applicable terms; imported social screenshots are deleted after analysis and selfies are deleted immediately after verification.

With other users: your profile (photos, name, age, interests, bio, approximate distance) is shown to people you may match with. Messages are shared with the person you are chatting with.

Service providers: we use Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, cloud functions) and Google Gemini to operate the app. They process data on our behalf under their terms.

Legal & safety: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and Beboos.

We keep your information while your account is active. Selfies are deleted right after verification, and imported social screenshots are deleted after analysis.

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account). This permanently removes your profile, photos, matches, and messages. Some limited records may be retained where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent.

You can exercise many of these directly in the app (edit your profile, manage permissions, delete your account). For anything else, contact us at privacy@beboos.app.

We use industry-standard measures (including strict access rules and encryption in transit) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

Beboos is strictly for people aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we remove accounts that we find belong to minors.

We operate primarily in Europe but use service providers that may process data in other countries. Where we transfer data internationally we rely on appropriate safeguards.

We may update this policy and will revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
